Baur Whittlesey practices primarily in the areas of securities, corporate and corporate finance law. In the securities area, he has represented issuers, broker-dealers and investment advisors on a wide variety of matters, including public and private offerings, periodic reporting, tender offers, proxy matters and securities law compliance. In the corporate area, he focuses on the representation of clients in diverse matters from corporate formation to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, while in the area of corporate finance he represents both lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions.
Baur received a B.A. from Harvard College in 1967 and a J.D. from the Harvard Law School in 1970. He is on the board of trustees of mutual funds for which Capital Growth Management acts as advisor.
